I took the babies for a short walk in our front yard this afternoon.  And lo and behold I found a caterpillar.  I was too scared to pick it up and put it on something so I could take the picture.  So I laid my fat butt on the hot ground to take this picture.  I need a life!

I think I would have been more scared of laying on the ground and not being able to get back up. lol

Nice pic :)

Oh the things we do for a good shot!
Caterpillers are the one critter i'm ok with touching.
You have inspired me to go find one to photograph!

Fabulous photo! I found a few in my yard today and almost took a picture, but thought I might get frustrated trying to focus on his little hairs. You rocked it though!

What a great shot of this fuzzy little guy or girl...hmm do they have a sex? I too I'm a little squimish around them I know most of them don't hurt you but... yuck. My son has been wanting to grow butterflyes so I know sooner or later I will be bringing them home. I would of use a very long stick to move it because laying on the same ground level as it would have been a bit to close for comfort hehe.
